Nepal 2012 – Children of the Build

On the build, we were constantly surrounded by children who lived in the community in which we were building. When they were not in school, they hovered around the site regularly. It was an opportunity for them to practice their English; show us their dance moves; and periodically lend a hand with the sand sifting. Most were not shy and often asked us to take photos with their refrain of “One picture please”. All seemed to be eager to be near us while some, while curious, kept more of a distance and stole glances at us from behind walls. Continue reading
